Logwood Extract is prepared from Campeche wood Haematoxylon Campechianum. It is used with various chemical mordants to stain wood various colors. It yields beautiful greys, blacks, browns, violets and blues depending on the mordant used. Dissolve 1 ounce of extract in a pint of water, distilled is best but tapwater will work.
